Wherever there is faith in God, there is a holy godly fear. He is our protector and defender. Let us praise Him and honor Him with our trust and faith. Let us live in holiness and godliness that is set apart from the world. Let us think on the heavenly things and not our present troubles, for our God knows them all. Let us proclaim, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reins.”

What is happening today is nothing in comparison to what any sinner deserves. This may very well be judgement on us for living in a blood soaked land amongst an evil people. If it is judgement it is rightly deserved. However no trial or difficulty that we may experience on earth would ever satisfy the payment that sin requires. Sin requires perfect obedience, a perfect sinless sacrifice as payment. That is only found in Jesus Christ.

We are told as Christians to “come out from their midst and be separate” we are to be a “peculiar people zealous for good works”. Now, to start with that gives us a stepping off place, right?
